Types of Braces

Conventional Braces

Conventional braces straighten your teeth using metal brackets, usually made of steel, and archwires which are adjusted to align your smile in the healthiest position.

Ceramic Braces

Ceramic braces are worn just like conventional metal braces, but unlike metal braces they blend with the color of the teeth for a less noticeable appearance. Ceramic braces are harder than metal braces, work just as effectively, and will not stain.

Invisalign®

Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten your teeth without braces. Invisalign uses a series of clear removable aligners to straighten your teeth without metal wires or brackets. You wear each set of aligners for about 2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move - little by little, week by week - until they have straightened to the final position. Ask Dr. Merritt if Invisalign is right for you!

Learn more about Invisalign® on their web site at www.invisalign.com.
